The community of Archilochos is made up of two villages, Prodromos and Marmara, and the seaside settlement of Molos. The area is mainly rural, with many orchards that use their own water and are very 'fruitful'. Many animals, mainly cows, are also kept on the land, which is also host to the Union of Farmers' Cooperatives of Paros, which produces Gruyere and hard cheese. Taking the road from Lefkes to Marpissa and turning right you will find yourself just outside the entrance of the village of Prodromos, where the church of St. Spiridonas welcomes you. Turning left, not far from Marpissa, you find Marmara, which it owes its name to the many scattered marbles there. In Marmara, it is the beautiful 17th century church of Taxiarchis that receives visitors.
Beaches Molos, with its fine sand shallow waters, is one of the island's most beautiful beaches. A dirt road from Molos leads to Tsoukalia, an ideal beach for windsurfing as the north wind blows all summer long. Just before you reach the beach of Molos, if you take a right turn you get to Kalogeras, yet another gorgeous beach, which has many fans. On one side there is a grand rock, on which, according to tradition, a monk committed suicide. It is after him, that the beach was named. The colours of the rock through its many layers are stunning. Another feature of this beach is that the potter's clay is abundant, and many tourists go there for a mud bath, which is great for the skin, along with the sea and the sun. Unfortunately, many people have discovered this beach, and it is no longer a refuge for swimmers seeking solitude, however its primitive beauty is still undeniable.
