Parikia's Market street, located in the heart of the historical center of the island's capital, is the main commercial area of Paros and specializes in the needs of travelers. However, many other areas continue to develop all over the island. For example, shops offering products and services for the home or the office are now moving outwards to what was intended to be the town's peripheral road. Because of this expansion it has recently become a new market street. One can also find shopping areas around the cathedral "Ekatondapiliani" and on the way to Livadia, the town's northern coastline.
In the tourist-shops of the island, fine pieces of folk art are sold, as well as souvenirs, wood-carved objects, and ceramics.
